The welding process of stainless steel handmade sink is a crucial step to ensure the structural integrity and durability of the sink. Here is an introduction to second way of the three different welding processes for stainless steel sinks

Surface Frame + Bowl welding for handmade sink

Definition and Features:

The surface frame and bowl is separately made and then connecting the bowl to the surface frame through welding techniques. By this way of making, the thickness of frame and bowl can be different, for example, it can be 3.0+0.7mm, or, 2.5+0.8mm.

Process Flow:

  • Surface Frame Fabrication: First, fabricate the surface part of the sink, ensuring the size and shape meet the design requirements.

  • Bowl Fabrication: Secondly, fabricate the bowl part of the sink, ensuring the size and shape meet the design requirements.

  • Embedding: Embed the pre-fabricated stainless steel bowl into the surface frame.

  • Welding Fixation: Weld along the lining edge to fix the connection between the bowl and the surface frame.

Advantages:

Compare to the way of one piece welding, the surface frame+bowl way is more economic and price-friendly, because it not only consumes less raw material, but also breaks the limits of the unified thickness.

Disadvantages:

The increased welding may reduce the load-bearing capacity of the basin. Therefore, meticulous welding techniques are crucial to the quality of the product.
